    Altus engages in the community in a range of different ways including charitable causes, sporting groups, service providers to the advisory industry and networking groups. Our “Altus Gives” program constantly seeks new opportunities for our staff to actively engage in the community.

    Orange Sky Laundy

    One of our initiatives was supporting Orange Sky Laundry, the world’s first free mobile laundry service for the homeless.

    The program connects volunteers and people in need, who take time out to engage in genuine conversation while their washing is done for them enabling the homeless to regain self respect.

    Living Ocean

    Living Ocean is a charity that is concerned with human impacts on the ocean and sea life in all its forms. Altus assists Living Ocean by providing financial leadership, managerial and accounting services.

    OzHarvest's Food Drive

    For the holiday season, The Altus Team were proud to take part in OzHarvest’s Food Drive donating food hampers to families living in poverty.

    Mercy Ships

    We proudly supported Mercy Ships with a bake-off. Mercy Ships is a state-of-the-art hospital ship delivering free, world-class healthcare to 70 countries, over 38 years.

    Red Cross

    The Altus Team also got involved in donating blood for the Red Cross as one third of blood donations help treat people with cancer and 1 donation can save 3 lives.

    Parking & Transport

    We hosted a trivia night to raise funds for Assistance Dogs Australia. Founded in 1996, Assistance Dogs Australia is a national charity that trains assistance dogs to provide greater freedom and independence for people with disabilities.

    We helped the littlies in 2017 by sponsoring Manly Allambie United Football Club. Our sponsorship gave them access to sports equipment, but also encouraged a healthy and active lifestyle.

    Other charities we have supported this year include Jeans for Genes day, the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, City2Surf, MS Walk and Fun Run, Aussie Ark and Tough Mudder (Soldier On).

    We look forward to maintaining and extending our Altus Gives program in the years ahead as the impact at Altus has been extremely beneficial. It’s developed a culture of self-aware professionals getting involved in giving back to those who need it most. It’s allowed for team building and has empowered staff to connect and develop relationships, and contribute to the vibrancy of the office.
